My husband and I went to red lobster in Bloomingdale, Il. For lunch and it was the worst lunch ever. I ordered the shrimp scampi combo with lobster and grilled shrimp skewer, my husband ordered snow crab legs and shrimp scampi. Both of the shrimp scampi's were like mush with no texture and little taste to them.in looking at the saturated shrimp in the dish, it was watered down very badly. Neither of us finished our meal. I pointed it out to the waitress who was very nice to us about it. She sent over the manager and he was even more disastrous than the food. He didn't seem to care. I asked how it was prepared and he said all of it was delivered frozen and even the garlic butter sauce comes frozen! All they do is quick flash it in the oven to defrost, and pour the sauce over it. He put his hands up like it wasn't their fault and this is the way it comes. He said none of it is fresh! How dare you claim to be a seafood restaurant and charge the high prices you do, and not cook fresh? Even cook properly so the shrimp at least tastes good. I cook frozen shrimp at home better than them! Red Lobster should be embarrassed for their lack of fresh food, or even good sea food, although the snow crab legs were good, but that's hard to screw up, and they should be even more mortified for the fact that they employ such a horrible manager. Take responsibility for your restaurant and the quality of your food. He took off the price for the peach tea and the appetizer clam strips, but that's no consolation for the 50$ meal you pay for crappy sea food!
