Over many years and many hardware stores around the country, I have had little need for help in most departments because I am a DIYer. But at least in the last few years, Home Depot has become better with return policies (they will take back almost anything!), customer service (especially in Manteca, CA, and Lake Wales, FL), and knowledgeable and helpful employees (they try relentlessly to help and are very polite again).
It seems like the Home Depot I used to remember shopping at with my grandfather when I was just a kid. I am so happy that this company has taken a turn for the better in the last few years, and I hope it stays that way. I will always bring my business to Home Depot first.
