On July 9th and July 10th. Four young African American females were wrongfully terminated from Walgreen's. We were accused of using a VALID Walgreen in store coupon more than once. On the coupon it states one per customer, however it does not say one time use only. The coupon was retrieved from an Entertainment coupon book that expired December 31 and yes it was from a purchased book. The coupon was not clear on if employees could not use the coupon, nor did it say one time use only or share the coupon with others. This coupon was different from other coupons. It was an in store coupon that was similar to the store ad coupons and the easy saver coupons that sonly became discontinued. Meaning it could be reused just like those coupons. A manufacturer coupon is something that is only supposed to be used one time and turned in to be able to submit in to get reimburse lost profit on merchandise. So the four employees used this in store (valid) coupon for a while on Iceland Pure water (retail price. 99). We were told when we got fired that we committed theft over this $. 99 water coupon.in our understanding of the coupon it did not state that it was one time use only and employees could not use coupon. Then after we were fired they changed their story stating that we were fired because we punched in the four digit numbers. Our store manager said it was okay to punch in the four digit numbers for any in-store, as well as this Iceland water, because it's also an in-store coupon. A lady from employee relations said we could have used the coupon as many times as we want, it just needed to be scanned. However, we were not warned about this situation prior to our termination. Not only this situation, but after doing research there have been other situations on the same matter in other states with Walgreens. We just want justice to be served. For us to be terminated for a legit coupon is wrong.
