I just read a complaint written by another individual about DJ Edwards of DJ Edwards Homes... And I'm so glad I did!
The almost identical set of circumstances happened to my son when he purchased a home and DJ Edwards was contracted by the seller or seller's agent to make some repairs on the house...
I just learned of this website or I would have reported DJ Edwards sooner!
DJ Edwards is a rip off artist who preys on young people buying their first homes! He was supposed to repair/replace several pieces of rotting wood, repair the fascia, and replace some siding... DJ Edwards did NONE of the above!
This con man did the repairs with lumber obviously left over from another repair job he did... There were nail or screw holes in the boards and some were to short... DJ Edwards just nailed them up over the rotted wood!
The siding DJ Edwards used was in horrendous shape and looked worse than the siding he was supposed to replace... I think he got it off another home!
My son was at work and couldnt come home to check the work until DJ Edwards had already left... His neighbor told my son that DJ Edwards was at the house for about one hour if that!
My son telephoned DJ Edwards who returned to the home about 5 days later!
DJ Edwards told my son the same thing he told another consumer who's report I just read! And that was that the work was a repair and he wasnt required to use new materials or replace rotting wood! My son was furious and DJ Edwards just shrugged and told my son he didnt work for him and left!
The next day another larger man showed up at the house real early demanding payment! My son said he wouldnt pay until the work was done correctly... The larger man tried to intimidate my son, but as a former Marine my son told him to hit the bricks and he did! But said he and DJ Edwards would be back and they would get their money!
Then DJ Edwards pulled the same fraud on the title company and lied and said he had lost the check and to stop payment on it and he got them to issue him another check for the repairs!
My son telephoned DJ Edwards numerous times and DJ Edwards NEVER returned his phone calls!
Do not use this con man for any kind of repairs no matter how small... He is crook in my opinion and should be in jail!
