I established phone service with at&t but did not specify a long distance phone service provided. When I got the my first bill I was shocked to see USBI charged me $1.71 per minute. For example, they charged me $10.26 for a six minutes call I made. I complained to at&t and they say that the only thing they can do is put the charges on dispute and asked me to call USBI. I did and found USBI to be very rude and refused to settle with me and told me I must pay up. At&t told me that they will disconnect my phone service if I do not eventually pay the bill.
I cannot believe there is our government continues to let this USBI company to operate. Beware, if you do not specify any long distance company for your phone service, at least tell them to block all long distance calls for your phone otherwise USBI can sneak in.
