I currently have a credit card with Capital one that I was not aware of a $39.00 over the limit fee that had been charged each month on this card. I was late for a couple of payments which made me have a over the limit charge. I finally paid off all of the fees of the over the limit charges and made sure my payments were on time. I keep getting charged $39.00 and they explained it to me that even though my bill was paid on time and a little more that on the closing date they would charge my account $5.00 protection fees so it would cause me to have an over the limit fee. I canceled this protection fee on 2/25/09. On 3/5/09 my balance was $551.27 and I made a payment of $53.00 so that I would not have a over the limit fee added to my account. My balance should have been $498.27 I recieved my bill on 3/21/09 to see they still charged me an over the limit fee and they said they also added a finance charge to the bill. Now my balance is $557... I called to find out why and was told now they charged me a finance charge on the balance and added it to my balance which causes a over the limit fee. PLEASE, PLEASE investagate Capital one with there bad business practices. I have paid them about $1000.00 already for $500.00 and each month they come up with something new. They have never been charging a finance charge as an addition to the charges. Finance charges should be taken from the amount I pay and not added to the amount I pay. They keep adding something to get a over the limit fee. I don' what my e-mail given to anyone in this company so please don't give this information out. I look forward to your response soon.
