American home shield is a ripoff, you are offered a coverage that is supposed to be covering everything in your house and then you need service. Good luck!!! You call and they tell you that the item is not covered or if you need your heat or ac fixed they tell you that its not covereed because you have not had them maintain it even though it is regularly maintained. I was sold a policy and asked specifically if the refridgerator was fully covered including the icemaker and was told yes. Now its broken and when i call they tell me its not a covered item. They said it is in the contract that we ssent you. I explained that i never saw the contract until i bought it so they lied to me and defrauded me. All they kept saying is that were not responsible for a mistake that a rep says. Well i consider that misrepresenting a product, they said well you got the contract you should have cancelled it when you got it if you didnt like the the terms. You get nowhere with them. Even the corporate office are idiots. Dont buy with them i found a better company with more coverage at the same price with great ratings. Home warranty of america.
