November 21st 2007... I called American Home Shield about stopped sind and faucet leak... They sent a plummer on the 23rd who informed me that AHS wont cover either item... WHY? Because there were eggshells found in my pipes. Someone had put eggshells down the garbage disposal. The AHS rep told me it was in my contract... They rarely have covered any item I have called on... So I had to pay the plumber myself 189.00 to clear the clog, but thats not all... I still had to pay AHS 55.00 for the service call.
So maybe I should have read my contract better... I assumed when you pat over 600.00 a year plus $55.00 per call that stuff like drains should be covered.
By the way, when you call AHS, you will spend 30 minutes trying to get to a human being... If you ever do.
You will note that AHS pays for top ranking in google, I assume so that people wont noice the over 25 pages of complaints about them... You will find complaints unter AHS and another set under American Home Shield.
You would save money by just paying for repair service yourself.in the long run I would have saved about 1,000.00 last year.
Realtors... STOP USING THIS COMPANY!!! READ all the complaints!!!
