I don't think I've ever been so upset with a company ever. I called Vonage because I needed VOIP service. I was attempting to get a phone number 714.867.5309 for a business I was starting.

I called Vonage and was told the number was available. After going through the process, I was put on hold for 5-10 minutes at a time while they tried to search for the number that they told me they already reserved for me. After about an hour, I was told the number was unavailable.

I told them to get me any California area code with that number. 15 more minutes and I was told I could have 818.867.5309. Perfect, I'll take it. Another 10 minute hold and I was told that the rep locked herself out of the system. She'd complete it in an hour. I call 5 hours later. Nothing gets done. I start the process all over again. I also ask for a refurb box so I don't have to pay the $10 for the router. I was told that I needed a temp number so that Tech support could "easily" give me my number. 2 hours later, I'm told the number can not be given to me. I'm also told I cannot cancel until 9 am. I was told I would be given a call in the morning to cancel. I check my account and I'm charged for the router after being told otherwise.

9 am... No call. I call at 10 am to cancel. The account manager tells me, that they can port the number no problem. I do everything asked and still get a fast busy. Turns out the account manager was wrong.

A new rep informs me of the problem. I ask to cancel. I get sent to cancellations. The rep said they cannot give me my money back because they shipped out the router that I can't use. If they canceled at the right time. This wouldn't be an issue. So I have the call escalated to a supervisor. Lawrence tells me that he won't give me my money back and that I'm going to be charged another 39.99. I haven't had service for 12 hours mind you, and I'm charged again??? I ask for his manager. He said he refuses. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!!
