My energy bill was 9 days past due and Progress Energy disrupted the electrical service in my home. I have two 30 months old toddler that I kept home from daycare and my wife missed work because they were ill.in addition my wife offered to pay the technician the amount due so the service would not be interrupted. He refused to accept the payment. I have been a client of Progress Energy for over 10 years and had the service interrupted twice before during the time we lost our jobs. But nine days after the payment is due during this economy is down right wrong and dishonest.
