I would like to file a Complaint against Progress Energy. My bill varies so much and they keep telling me that my meter is correct. I am on disability and meds. Recently I met my cap for meds and had to pay for them out of my own pocket.in ADDITION TO THIS MY RECENT CT SCANS SHOW ABNORMALITY IN MY CHEST AND ADRENAL GLANDS. I had 5 ct scans and the doctor who read them at boston imaging suggest follow-up treatment. Family Phrygians go Altamonte Springs advised me even though my provider was no longer carrying them they would take care of me. Now no one will touch me. Having lung problems suggests to me and not being well that my lights should not be disconnected. Progress Energy said that even though I had not missed a payment arrangenet that I must start taking responsibilities in paying my bills. As I said that I am on a fixed income. Yet I make too much for any type of governmental assistance and Progress Energy is going to disconnect my power on 12/08. I need you to intercede. Without my power, I cannot function properly. I have never had my lights interrupted and time is of the essence. I am asking that my meter be replaced for Progress Energy keeps stating they cannot find a problem. It seems I am being punished for number my incorrect bill and secondly not having the funds due to my illness until the 22nd of December. I do not have the funds for gas, food nor soaps, etc. What do I do? Remember Monday is lights out for me. My Progress Energy Bill account number is 16045-77578 under my name Sandra L. Ps why did this company allowed a 37% hike in rates? Every other type of this company was allotted 7%
