Each time I have purchased a ticket to travel on Sunrise Travel to Mohegan Sun in Ct from MA my ticket indicates that a tip is not mandatory but appreciated. However, the bus host (Susan) who collects the ticket has abusive attitudes toward any bus customer who does not pay her a tip. This has been repeatedly reported to Sunrise Travel but the host's abusive conduct is condoned. There is no particular service that is being performed by the host.in fact when the bus shows up it often smells because the toilet has not been emptied and cleaned and the bus trip begins this way for its 2 hour trek out of state. There is often trash all over the bus with empty food containers that adds to the offensive smells. The host ignores and otherwise allows disruptive, abusive and offensive behaviors to occur. The host herself has been known to use profane language and fight publically on the bus with private companions. She has also been known to make passes at bus customers. Drug deals and transportation of illegal drugs has been known to occur on the bus as well. The host is also inconsistent in enforcing bus rules and will retaliate if she is complained about to her bus company. Public safety and well being is a concern as is the quality of life. There is no or little enjoyment of the bus ride. I think the consumer is being ripped off. The host wants a $2.00 tip for collecting the ticket stub after people get on the bus. The bus fare itself just went up $3.00 more. What can be done to ensure public safety and well being as well as an enjoyable ride?
