False debt collections after 5 years

I signed up for hosting with CI Host in the first qtr of 2003 through mid 2006. I had many accounting issues with CI HOST, but thats another complaint.

I received a collection notice from ESCALLATE for service in April. The funny thing is that CI HOST did direct billing from my bank account until 2006 with everything paid in full when we left CI HOST.

When we call ESCALLATE, they say we need to talk with CI HOST and the $50 will go on my credit report if I don't pay now.

When I call CI HOST they WON'T even look at the account to verify. They say I need to call ESCALLATE.
