This company moved me from Germantown Maryland, In Nov of 06, they bait and switched the moving price. Hello, my name is Kimberly. I am writing this email because I have been paying Belen Moving and Storage my funds through a representative named Margot Kapor's personal account, why was I given a personal account I don't know. As of April I had paid the company in full and had not been given reciepts and a name and address of where to locate my furniture, your assistance in this matter is and greatly will be appreciated.

Here is the complaint I wrote to the so-called managers of the company Margot (Belen Moving and Storage) and Dave (Cross Country Moving), I just filed a complaint with several other law enforcement companies on movingscams.com including, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration as well as DOT. I will be filing with the BBB after this email, please help. I can be reached at 818-308-7544. I have not been given the name of the Owner of the company upon multiple requests to speak with him and know his name, every 888 or 800 number I call Dave (cross country moving) answers, and the phone numbers on Belens website and invoices are not accurate or in service the only number I am given is a 202-997-3620 which is a personal cell phone and Margot does not answer it and does not return phone calls until days and weeks later.

This company is, smooth move, helping hand, cross country, and belen moving and storage.

Margot Kapoor is very unprofessional and rude, and she lies alot!!! Dave, acts like he is helping but sends me false info on how to contact someone in the Belen moving and storage, they work hand in hand. They are black listed in on the internet and spoken negatively about on. I cc'd them both on the email to show that I mean business and that I have contacted your Establishment, I will also forward an email sent to my Dave claiming that he spoke to Belen about their 'Management' style when I requested accurate info about Belen, the link he sent me did not work in the email it was null and void, when I emailed him to ask him to send me an updated link, he never responded.

UPDATE 11/08 After April of 07 I never got reciepts or acknowledgement of payments from Margot, I was advised to stop putting money in thier account, so from May of 07 until Nov 07, I never heard from them, I would call and leave messages and no response.

Finally in November of 07 I spoke to Margot, she advised me that I owed 175.00 plus 25.00 late fee from May of 07 until November of 07, as of April of 07 I was paid in full. I then put 500.00 in her account on NOVEMBER OF 07, then October of 07 I sent money order for 175.00 to Belen as well. I put 700.00 in her account in December of 07.

I then made monthly payments from Januaray until June of 08, for the monthly storage, again never getting a phone call or acknowldegments of payments. I called Belen in July of 08 and spoke to Dave, he said he would get a message to Margot, I never heard from Margot until October of 08. Stating again that I owed over 3000.00 in fees, I had to dig up reciepts to prove to her that I paid her in her account for 6 months. She acknowledged and still came back with a rediculous figure.

I became suspicious and asked her, If I could send my sister with final payment to meet her at the storage bin to see the furniture as well as pay in Cash. She declined and wanted ALL FUNDS PUT INTO HER ACCOUNT. I don't even know if they have my furniture, this has been a nightmare. I believe this company has either sold all or some of my furniture to recoop costs, however still charging me and demanding money. I asked Margot to please allow us / our family to see what we have in storage and make a final payment in cash. She refused and said she will only let us see the furniture if I put all the money in her Wachovia bank account number 2000033222484.

This company is on usacomplaints.com and is on they also had thier moving liscense revoked but offered to move my furniture from Maryland to Mass in Dec of 07. I really need help here, I don't believe these people have all my furniture. Margot Kapoor continues to give me inaccurate prices on my final price. However I have all my reciepts to show that her bookeeping is wrong. She was not even aware that I had been making payments for six month. Please help there is something wrong here.
