These people are conmen / Do Not do business with them. As seen in all of the other letters we had the same exact experience with this company as they did.
We purchased boxes and packed all of our belongings including furniture items ourselves. We are in the furniture business so we are familiar with all of this.

We recieved an estimate of $1950.00 I specifically asked for, in writing all costs for this move. I was told the only difference in price would be a difference in the weight of the items or if any packing was necessary and if so the cost would be $15.00 per item to wrap a piece of furniture in shrink wrap. As I had other moving companies over to give us an estimate we had a pretty good idea of the weight of our items.

We paid a deposit when they arrived in a UHAUL truck, we were told that truck was being used just to transport our items to the warehouse. We also paid $300.00 for insurance over and above per pound price for our items along with a deposit in cash.

Upon delivery after many phone calls and a month of waiting, we were told that we would have to pay over $6000.00 more in order to get our items. I called DOT and recieved no help, I also called the local police department and weights and measure, no help. Without options we paid the $6000.00 plus an extra $600.00 to get the driver to go to a storage area and unload a small amount of items. THis second stop was also included in our original estimate.

When I questioned the insurance for damaged articles, Jay claimed that I did not have insurance even though it is clearly written on my contract that I did and how much I paid for it.

These people have 23 phone numbers, 7 web sites and about 15 addresses. I am very interested in persuing them to close them down. I have contacted all Attorney Generals in the state I moved from and to, the FBI, various police departments. If anyone that used them lives in the state of Maryland you can file a complaint with the police. As I am in Florida I cannot do this, I would have to be in Maryland to do this.

Also, if you were victimised by this company file a complaint with the National Federal Motor Carrier Saftey Administration you can do this online. Thier phone # is 888 368 7238. With enough complaints there may be an investigation. This way maybe someone else will not have to go through what we went through with our belongings. I have simplified my story as much as possible the others that wrote give very accurate discriptions of the way they do business.
