Liars and thieves! They do no care about anyone! They will purposely sell you a lemon and won't do anything about it just so they can rip you off!

HK Finance is owned and run by a bunch of liars, thieves, jerks... The biggest a-holes ever given a green card (if they are even legal to work in this country)!!!

This is a long story, but here goes:

In February I bought a 1995 Ford Explorer from these *. I was 22 yrs old, a single mom, and desperately wanted an SUV. So, unfortunately I didn't see the scam.

I went in at about 12:00 PM one day and spoke to what seemed like a nice sales person. I explained that I had $1500 for a down payment and I wanted a used SUV. The salesman told me he could find a nice SUV for me since I had a reasonable down payment. But before I could complete an application he told me I would have to give them the down payment up-front while they look for a vehicle for me... What? I had never heard of this and was skeptical, but a friend recommended this company to me and said they would help me out. So I gave them my $1500 to find the SUV.

After about an hour, the salesman took me to a lot across the road that they had full of vehicles. He began to show me a Saturn Station wagon. I immediately told him I didn't even want to look at the car because that was not what I went there to buy... I told him I wanted an SUV and only an SUV, and that he told me he would find me one. So this guy continues to try to get me interested in this Saturn. Finally I tell him this is not going to work, he isn't listening to me in regards to what I want, and I just want my money back. He apologizes, telling me we can go back over to the office and he'll see what he can do.

So we go back over and sit down with another salesman. Now they are trying to tell me that my credit is not good enough to get me into an SUV and I should just take the Saturn because that is all I am going to get. I was pissed! I told them I wanted my money back... They refused to give it to me and said they would keep looking for an SUV. Finally at 7:00 PM they told me that they found an SUV for me - a 1995 Ford Explorer. They were detailing the car and would be bringing it over from another lot.

The truck arrived and was exactly what I was looking for - a 4 door SUV. And since I had been waiting all day and this was what I wanted, I agreed to the sale. I took the car for a mile test drive and it appeared to drive ok. The salesman also told me they have a "program" in which they allow their customers to trade in their vehicle after 6 months of on-time payments if they are not happy with it.

I asked for something in writing regarding this program and they said they didn't have anything in writing; it was just something they did... So I went back in the office and signed the contract. At this point I was so tired and yet relieved to have the vehicle I wanted, I didn't even realize that the total sale price after taxes, fees (a delivery charge of $450 when they drove it 2 miles from another lot?!?) and interest was over $12,000... For a 1995??? Well, I took the truck (stupid me) and then began the problems with the POS SUV.

The truck began to have a knocking sound in the engine. The transfer case for the 4-wheel drive was bad, so I could not use the 4-wheel drive (not really a big deal...). Then after a while the radiator blew and began leaking water very badly. This truck was a total lemon!!! I had my father, who has been a mechanic for over 30 years, inspect this truck. He told me there were so many needed repairs and it would cost me thousands of dollars to fix, which I did not have.

So I made my payments on time for 6 months so that I could take advantage of the "program" I was told about. A week before the 6 months was actually up, I went to the dealership to explain that I was not happy with the truck and I wanted to go ahead and do the trade-in as they had promised I could. The salesman I spoke with this time (mine no longer worked there) told me that I couldn't trade in my truck that day because I had to wait for 6 months to the date... Yeah, OK!

So I left the dealership and wouldn't you know, I broke down! I left the SUV on the side of the road overheating, about 50 miles from the dealership (I was driving home and I lived about 2 hours away). I called HK Finance and told them I broke down and where the SUV was located.

(Now, when I was at HK Finance this day there was another woman who was irate with these people telling them that they ripped her off and she wanted her money back, and was on the phone with her lawyer who wished to speak to the owner, and they would be filing a law suit! Not surprising...)

The very next day I began to get calls from finance companies telling me that HK Finance was interested in selling my car to them so that I could be financed and start building credit. WHAT?!?!?! I explained the circumstances with this SUV to every person that called me, and that it was now on the side of the road with a blown radiator and could not be driven. I told them that I would not be making anymore payments to these scam artists for the broken down lemon they sold me... And the finance company should not accept any vehicle for financing from HK Finance because of their scams! About a week later HK Finance sent a tow truck to pick up the SUV for repossession.

I feel like a complete moron for letting these scumbags use me. I am just glad that this SUV was never financed (HK Finance sold me this SUV as a buy-here-pay-here) and the repo never showed on my credit, and I never heard from HK Finance again. I will never let this kind of thing happen to me again.

I warn anyone who is thinking about buying a car -
do not go to hk finance! They will rip you off!!! They will knowingly and purposely sell you a lemon for thousands of dollars more than it's worth just to take all your money! They are scumbag scam artists who do not give a sh! T about their customers!!!
