In complete agreement with last two people who reported. Charge you money out of the ass. Bills are ridiculous when you know you didn't use nearly that amount of gas or heat. Was not at the apartment for a whole month, there was no electricity on or gas being used for cooking. Gas bill was $50.00. When we first moved in during the summer, the bill was $15.00, big switch. Horrible maintenance / does not exist since the Lane Company took over. Nothing is fixed, managers and staff do not respond to complaints. When moved out they would not come and do the walk thru with us after 3 attempts. We went up there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. First day they didn't have time, next day they said they dont do walk thru's on Saturday, next day we came at 3pm. No one was in the office and it had a sign on the door saying closed. The sign on the wall says they close at 5 pm. Banged on the door until a man appeared. He told us he wouldn't do a walk thru. We yelled at him about the past two days of coming up there, driving from 30 miles away and he still didnt care. We dropped off our keys and left a forwarding address. They never told us we owed anything. We called and they said everything was fine a whole month later. Two months later we receive a notice from the collections agency stating we owe $114.94. The apartment complex never even sent us a notice saying we owed anything and told us we owed nothing, then they send us to the collections agency telling us we owe them money. WHAT THE HELL?! That is such B. S!!! We pay the apartment complex and the letter says if paying the apartment directly then disregard this notice. One month later we receive another letter from the collections agency telling us if we don't pay up it is going on our credit! I called the collections agency, told them we paid a month ago to the apartment, called the apartment complex and spoke with the manager whom I gave a telephone number directly to the collections agent I was dealing with. He said he would call and clear up the matter. Three days later I call the collections agent and he says he has received no call from the apartment complex. They are trying to ruin my and my husbands credit!!! They are irresponsible and it is a nightmare. Do not move there!!!
P.S.- The valet trash is a joke! They do not come and pick it up everyday, are never on time, and it is a waste of money and an excuse for people not to walk 100 ft to put their trash in the dumpster which costs you nothing but your own energy. Pathetic!!!
