On TV you see all the ads regarding free credit report.com. Everyone is always told to check their credit report. Well, when you go on the the freecreditreport.com site and get your credit report not only do they have your information on file but in small print (which I never saw) it says that if you don't call this number and cancel they have the right to bill you monthly $11.95 for the "FREE" service. Unless you catch the charge on you statement it will continue indefinitely. I, unfortunately, like so many just paid my bill without looking for over six months. Now last month I checked and found this charge I did not recognize. I called the number on the statement and found out the truth about Free Credit Report.com and of course they said they would cancel my subscription and refund the last months charges. They did cancel any further charges but never refunded the $11.95. It's still on my charge and I had to pay it and now wait for the dispute to be settled. This company with all their advertising is a scam and is ripping off unsuspecting people every day. It needs to be required to say in their ads in words on TV and in large type that the free is not really free and that you information is subject to scrutny by other companies. I can't believe they are getting away with this. It needs to be stopped...
