I found a charge for $12.95 on my bank statement from CIC Credit Report 8002202626 CAUS. I did not authorize this charge and after a few telephone calls I was told I signed up for credit monitoring; I did get a free credit report but to the best of my knowledge there was no information concerning a charge. Free credit report should mean just that free credit report; I cancelled membership and am awaiting a credit of $12.95 which I was told would happen in 7 - 10 business days. I will follow up to see that this happens. Consumer beware of information regarding a free credit report from Freecreditreport.com.
