I purchased a phone from this seller on eBay. The phone was listed in "new/mint" condition. When it arrived to me, it was in extremely bad condition. There were scuffs, scratches, and a visible crack in the lower left hand corner. I contacted the seller and explained that this phone was not as described. The seller suggested I return the item and it would be replaced via Overnight shipping. He blamed the condition of the phone on a "shipping miscommunication".
The morning after I shipped off the phone, I spoke to the seller directly and he informed me that my replacement was overnighted to me. This was on a Thursday. Friday afternoon came, and the replacement was nowhere to be found. I spent the following weekend attempting to get info as to the wherabouts of my phone. I received an email saying that it was on the way and I should receive it by Monday. Monday came and no phone arrived. I emailed the seller AGAIN and finally got a hold of him Monday evening (after sending several emails threatening legal action) in which he claimed there was a problem with the batch of phones that were sent over the weekend. He assured me that it was shipped Monday evening and I'd receive it by Wednesday.
Wednesday came and went, and still no phone (the tracking number he gave me never even updated to indicate the phone had been shipped at all). At this point, I lost my patience and requested a full refund. He agreed via an email to process the refund, but again lied... Telling me it had been issued, only for me to check paypal and see no record of a refund whatsoever. I then filed two claims, one with paypal and one with eBay. After the claim was filed, I emailed him again, and he asked that I close the claim so he could process the refund. Not that it wasn't already painfully clear... But that moment made it obvious that he was trying his best to screw me over, because if I closed out the claim, I would be unable to open another one and he'd have no obligation to offer me a refund. After ignoring the claim and still not offering the refund, I filed a complaint on eBay and requested they conduct an internal investigation. I emailed him the details of that claim at roughly 10pm Wednesday evening, and my refund was FINALLY processed. The entire ordeal lasted 2 weeks and thanks to his shady practices, I was without a cell phone for the entire time. Upon the completion of this ordeal, the seller had the nerve to leave a feedback response on my eBay page calling me an "unreasonable buyer".
In less than a week, I've seen the number of negative feedback on his page skyrocket from 20 to 109, with pretty much everyone experiencing the same exact issues I have; non receipt of phones, failure to issue refunds, lies about shipping, etc. The man is dishonest, fraudulent, and what he is doing is 100% illegal. He needs to not only be removed from eBay, but he needs to be prosecuted. People like him give eBay a bad rep.
