I had gone to a consulation after being told I was a "winner" for $300 at American Lazer Center. At this appointment a very pushy and annoying "office manager" who had also been the receptionist pushed me into signing up for an interest free GE Money Bank card for a microderm treatment. This appointment was cancelled the next day, less than 24 hours after making it.
I had also called GE Money bank to cancel and was told I had not even been entered into their computers yet. American Lazer Center told me their computer was down so I had to call again a few days later to once again cancel. However, they still unrightfully put the application and charges through in the meantime.
The unprofessional officemanager never put my refund through, and proceeded to activate and charge the GE Money bank card opened in my name for hundreds of dollars. When I told GE Money bank, they said I needed American Lazer to issue the refund since they had been the ones to take the money.
After two months of still not recieving the refund I was forced to call customer service and they assured me I would be refunded no later than 2 weeks. After 5 weeks I was still getting bills from GE Money, so I was forced to call American Lazer again and ask for my refund. They told me I had been "misinformed" and it took 6-8 weeks to be refunded. After 9 weeks from the date of that phone call I had to call once again and was told I was "misinformed" and it took 8-12 weeks.
I now owe double the charges to my GE Money Bank card for 4 months of late fees. I also am contacted by them a minimum of 6 times a day everyday including Sundays starting as early as 8am and as late as 9pm. I have also been reported to a creditor agency in which I am now being harrased by them too, all for charges that were taken by me. Its all in my name and I am the one suffering the damages while American Lazer Center has taken free money in my name. Not only has this situation been a gigantic burden on me and my family, it has ruined my credit score to the point that I am no longer eligible by my bank to buy a home.
