In early August, I ordered a Singer Lazer vacuum cleaner from one of the infomercials on TV. I went for the buy 1, get another one for the cost of shipping. When I received the vacuum cleaners, they sent me 4 vacuum cleaners. I put together the vacuum cleaner to try it out; it was not a very good product. I called Singer Lazer customer service line to cancel my order; I was told this would be done, and to ship back the vacuum cleaners to receive my refund. I have been charged $331.67 on my Visa card; customer service neither stopped payments on my card, and I have yet to receive my refund. My tracking receipt shows that the company received my vacuum cleaners on 9/8; I was told that my refund would be received within 3-4 weeks. I have called customer service 6 times; I keep getting a different excuse each time. But I continue to be told that I'm on a priority basis, and will receive my refund within the next few days (they send refunds once per week). It's frustrating; I would like to try to voice a complaint with state authorities in California to get this business shut down.
