Fraud and misrepresentation

My son went to purchase a car from this company in January of they had a tax service in place within the building and encouraged him to let them file his taxes and he could drive the vehicle off the lot that night. He gave the necessary information to the person doing the tax service and they told him the computer was down but that they had all the necessary info and to just sign the document and they would handle the return from there. I wrote a check to We finance for $2,500.00 which was the down payment and would be approximately what his tax return would be equal to. A few weeks later he was called to come to the car lot to pick up the check and the reaminder of his tax refund. The return was not done as a rapid refund and he was never given a copy of the return filed to the IRS but got a letter from the IRS yesterday August 18 stating that he owed $4,770.08 because the tax service had improperly filed his return claiming that his parents were his children and claiming them as his dependants. How could they have put this information into his taxes making him liable for the money is beyond me but thats what was done. We went to the IRS to talk to them and came to find out that his actual refund was $6,001.00 yet he onl was told his reund was $4,721.00 of which the dealer took $2,500, 00 and gave him the difference of some $2,221.00. What happened to the other some $1,345.00 that was the difference between the 6000 and the 4721. My son needs some help in this situation and at this point do not know where to turn for help. I feel certain that there are other people out there that are finding themselves in the same situaion. The dealer claims no responsibility but there phone number is listed as the contact number for the tax agency that did the tax return on the papers that we go from the IRS. Please if there is any help out there or anyone else in this same situation, something needs to be done. The tax service calls themselves Tax Pro, LLC. But were operating out of the We Finance Car dalership Building. Please help us.
