I called Motek and spoke with John to get a price on rim tires. He told me they were 95.00 each plus 95.00 for shipping and handeling. I went to western union to send the money, then called to verify he recieved it and he said he did and he would call me back with a tracking number. The next day since he never called me I called him to get a tracking number and he gave it to me.
My package was scheduled to be delivered on June 5. Well I received a call from ups stating that I must pay a 124.00 COD. I found that strange sice I had paid them all the money that was owed. I called Motek to speak with John but he was not in, so I spoke with Henry and he told me the 124.00 was for shipping and handeling. I then said how if I already paid 95.00 for shipping and handeling.
He then put his supervisor Eddie on the phone who got on the phone saying it was for shipping also. I said how and he replied I don't have time for this if you don't want them refuse the shipment. Keep in mind if you cancel your order you must pay them 20% cancellation fee and 20% restocking fee. So I said I am a customer why can't you explain. He said look this is not red cross go call them. I'm not sure what he meant by that I am African American and from Louisiana so not sure where he was going with that.
He then hung up the phone on me. So I got my husband to call back and he was yelling and my husband on the phone telling him he don't have time. So my husband figured arguing with him was doing no good so he began to beg him to tell him what the charge was for. He then told my husband it was for the boxes. He said the boxes were 32.00 each x 4.
Which doesn't even make since because 32 x 4 is 128.00 and the COD was for 124.00. He made that up because I've never heard boxes costing 32.00 each. So my husband said just forget it because if we send it back we are gonna have to pay them 20% so we just paid the 124.00 COD. Well we ordered the Falken tires when we opened the boxes it was the wrong tires a tire I never heard of. We called them and told them and they said the Falken were out of stock so they just sent the other tires. So my husband just hung up the phone on them.
We were scammed really badly, either way we would have lost out on money. I just can't see how a business can get away with doing that. I feel really dumb for even ordering from them. They should be put out of buisness. If you check the Better Buisness Bureau website they have done this before. I just wish I would have read there first.
You see once they get there money they just figure they can add on another charge. And if you cancel they don't care because they are gonna get paid anyway.
