It's disappointing to see all these folks with the same problem I am having with Homecomings. Well I refinanced in 2005 and didn't realize that I was getting an ARM until the settlement agent showed up at my house. I was already behind on my bills so I had no choice but sign on the dotted line. I needed consolidate and get rid of all those bills. I was assured that the ARM would not adjust because the economy would have to interest rates at least 6 percent higher than my rate before my arm would adjust. That's a lie. I started at contacting Homecomings when I got behind in January I made arrangements to make two house payments in February. I was behind because I signed for a family member to get a vehicle and they stopped paying. So, I had to chase my family member to make payments and insurance, I couldn't keep up with all of it. On top of it, I didn't know where his butt moved to in order to take the truck back and sell it. I tried calling Homecomings the beginning of the second month I had difficulty and I kept getting a fast busy. This went on for over 3 months. Finally I got someone and they told me I needed to go to collections department and when they transferred me, I was sent to a fake number. I tried calling back and got a fast busy by this time it's June. I started receiving mail advising me that I was delinquent and needed to contact them. Called them on the number provided it was a fast busy. I received a form to fill out to explain my circumstances and they would contact me and make arrangements for me to pay my mortgage. Never received a call back. I received another letter, I filled out the form again, sent it back in and no response. Next letter I received was a foreclosure letter. I filed bankruptcy Chap 13. I keep thinking it was a big mistake, but there was no way to stop the foreclosure and these folks don't answer the phone. I finally got the loss mitigation department and Mr. F was a total butt head. He advised me that I was wasting his time and that I owed to much arrears that it was nothing he could do for me. Called in again and requested to speak to a supervisor in that department today and was transferred to a dead line. I called back and asked for the presidents name of the company and Emma told me she didn't know it and if she did she couldn't tell me. What? I asked to speak to a supervisor and got Ms. M and she told me that she couldn't help me that I needed to go to the bankruptcy department. She transferred me and of course I got disconnected. At this point my mortgage has gone from $2,401 to $3,494 a month. The only good thing about it is that I lost 18 lbs that I probably needed to loose but I cannot afford to stay here any longer. The payment will adjust again in August and I'm already at 10.25% interest. You would think that they would work with anyone who wants to stay in their home. At this point, I can just let them foreclose and then file chapter 7 and they won't get a dime from me. Doesn't it make sense to at least get your money when people are trying to make arrangements and do the right thing. My concern is I do want to be added to any class action suit that may be filed but all these complaints are going to do what? By the looks of it, no one on here has gotten anything positive from Homecomings. I'm literlly sick and tired of dealing with them. Mr. F. Lead me to believe that it was no big deal and he would make arrangements with me. What a liar, they won't get a dime from me if they foreclose on this house.
