I purchased a 2000 Honda Passport from Car Plaza in January.initially, the first day that I drove the car off the lot, presumably there were no issues with the vehicle. The next morning while running errands the car just stalled in the parking lot. I restarted the vehicle and had not experienced that again. The Monday after I purchased the car the Check Engine light had come on. I had made an appointment for Dandy Wheels to check the car. The car sat in their shop for a few days.
Over the 11 months of making payments, I had to replace the Alternator, the battery, the Air Conditioner, Spark Plugs (vehicle was running on 5 cylinders not 6), and 2 sensors. During the entire period of owning the vehicle a noise was heard but we were unable to pinpoint the noise until we figured out that it was a bearing on the engine block which was bad.
Finally, my mechanic identified that the engine was blown. I went back to Car Plaza where I was offered 4100 for the vehicle, but I was told that I needed to put down 4,000 cash, plus my trade for a 11,000.00 vehicle. I wound up trading the vehicle in to Carmax, but I have been harassed by Flamingo, and threatened that I was going to have the car repossessed from them and this would be on my credit report.
Since I had been sold a bill of goods and provided a lemon, I was reluctant to pay any additional monies to Flamingo Financing since signing the car over to Carmax. Flamingo told me that they would refund monies owed to me once they received the check from Carmax. I have already been beaten by this company, and I am not about to be played the fool for a second time. I have explained my position to Flamingo yet they still feel compelled to harass me.
