Here is my story:
On November 6 I began working for this company called National Expo Group as an Outbound Sales Agent. This was a position that allowed me to work from my home office. This position was a salaried position that paid $40,000 per year plus commissions. This was an employee position and not an Independent Contractor position and this means that taxes were to be taken out. I did receive a contract which I did read carefully, filled out, and faxed back to Kristen L. Jones.
I was put onto a sales team and had a sales manager. Per our contract we were to turn in our time sheets on November 20 and get our first paychecks by November 25. At that time we did not receive our paychecks and we were then told that there were problems with setting up our payroll deposit with ADP. We were also to submit our second timesheet on November 30 to get paid on December 5. Again, we did not receive our paychecks. Kristen L. Jones did tell our sales manager that she was 20% short on our payroll but that she will be getting it from another department. WE HAVE YET TO RECEIVE IT!!!
I even checked out this company and I found nothing negative at all about it anywhere! The details of the position that I was hired for what calling companies to get them to buy booth space for upcoming home expos. We all became suspicious when we had potential businesses that were very interested in buying a booth was calling the Convention Centers that these expos were to be held and there was nothing set up there! They had never even heard of National Expo Group!
Kristen then told us that the events were on hold and that she was going to take care of it. But we STILL had businesses calling the Convention Centers to find out that thee were no scheduled events. Kristen L. Jones still owes each and everyone of us money and she has not paid! She now does not answer her phone or her emails! She owes each of us over $3,000 per our Employee Contracts!

I am then single mother of a 3 year old and I really thought that I had this wonderful opportunity to have a career and to work from home to be there for my daughter! I was wrong!!! Now here it is Christmas and I am out of a job and I am not even getting the money that is owed to me and I still have to do some shopping and I have my bills to pay! WHAT A MESS!!!
I have even emailed her to try and get this settled with no response and I have already files suit at Small Claims Court and I plan on getting in contact with the Labor Board of California to see if I can get my money before Christmas. If she will only give me my money then I will be more than glad to drop this because I do not widh to work for this company any longer and why would I be a fool to even want to?! I just do not see how she can sleep at night knowing what she has done to people. We have an Employee Contract and we also had to complete a W-4 form!!! I just want what is owed to me so that I can get presents for my daughter for Christmas! Please BEWARE of Kristen L. Jones and anything to do with National Expo Group!!!
