I was at a friends house for a poker game on a saturday night February 4th to be exact, at 8pm I received a call on my cell he told me that he was from National Grant Services and that I was one of 20,000 people selected to receive a $8,000.00 government grant, he then stated that for security purposes he needed to record the transaction and the information they needed to get the grant package sent, he also stated that there is a $299.95 fee for the grant package and that it was a one time transaction that is refundable, he then told me in 2-4 weeks when I get the package if I am not satisfied to check the box REFUND and mail it back,
I said ok and gave him my account info while he recorded it, the 299.95 was taken out 4 days later, so I waited for about 1 week, I called the # on the check that my bank took a picture of and had posted to my online account, I got through and asked the customer service rep if this was legit and he said it was and that they did'nt show the money in there system yet and that the package should be in my posession the following thursday and that they will call me with the tracking # so I could follow the shipment, WELL nothing came and no call and now NO answer, I was on hold for 4 straight days for an hour each with no answer! Now there has been two other checks taken out of my account for a total 3! $899.85 has been taken out of my account!!! Within a month!!!
I went to my bank and filed a fraud claim and they said no problem they will look into this and I should get a response in 3-5 days, the branch manager also said that this kind of thing happens a lot and that I should get all my monies back THANK GOD!!! Now I have to cancel that account and open a new one and change my account # on all of my bills I pay online!!! THIS SUCKS!!!
