Lack of Integrity, Full of Lies reflectionmarketing.com

Every other day I considered throwing in the towel and walking away, but the investment I had made kept me pushing towards something I thought was worth my sweat and tears. The promises of management, of success blinded me along my journey through hell and back. This is a very common, unfortunate situation that people encounter in Cydcor offices all around the nation. I'm here to fill you in on the things they don't tell you, so you can make a decision of your own before you get involved in the nightmare that is Cydcor.

The office I worked in, Ives Marketing, is located in Longwood, FL along with another Cydcor office, Reflection Marketing. Both work with Bellsouth. While working at Ives I learned quite a bit, like the term? Direct marketing? Better known as door to door sales. That is just what they want you to do, sell Bellsouth services business to business, sometimes traveling 100 miles or more a day, no benefits, no leads, no gas reimbursement, no expense account, nothing! Sounds like fun, right? Oh, the best part is? 100% Commission! The most nauseating part about it is that this is only the beginning; Cydcor still finds a way to make matters worse.

After you somewhat get used to the door to door sales, usually by learning how to slam and cram (which is illegal), then they introduce you to the world of? Leadership? Which entitles you to work longer hours and start interviewing others? Exciting, huh? Oh how fun it is to show another human being, who is not even slightly informed about what they will be doing with you from 9-5? On an interview? What the business is all about! There are guidelines that are in place, however, and you are required to follow them. It is important to tell the interview that you made at least 100 bucks even if you didn't, don't even think about mentioning Cydcor, and tell them the hours are 8-6 when it's more like 7:30-6:30, and then later on (as a leader), its 7:00-7:30 at the minimum!

You should know, interviews are earned by producing the highest sales in the field from the day prior. And the great thing about interviewing is that if you can convince them to come on board (and its easy to convince someone right out of college that this is the business for them when you tell them a rookie manager makes six figures and it only takes a year to do it), then you get to train them, which gets you one step closer to management. So, if you are making those high sales, you're taking out those interviews, your painting the big picture, and you're convincing them to start and become a trainee, then you can afford to pay them out of your own pocket! Have you ever heard of a company that makes an employee pay for another employees training? One never learns of this matter until they have made it to the leadership position, basically, more lies.

The leaders run the office, the manager sits at his or, in my case, her desk where who knows what gets accomplished, probably nothing. We'd get there early to plan how we would corrupt the next group of? New guys? That we scheduled to start that day. We made sure the music was loud, the meeting was planned and everyone better wear their happy face and? Get excited?! If you call in sick, be prepared to come to the morning meeting regardless of how severe your illness, it's not worth missing? Atmosphere? As they call it. Then there is team night (every Thursday), a night to bond with the? New guys? And get into their heads. If you are a leader, don't even think about missing team night or you'll be sorry you did. Whatever goes wrong in the office (or on team night) it's one of the top leaders fault, most likely mine since the worst manager I've ever had in my life had me busting my ass for her month after month, and for what? There is way too much pressure in this environment to be shady or dishonest for a person to stay sane as long as I did.

Truth being, Ives Marketing got me no where, Cydcor got me no where and trust me, they can do the same for you!!! Go to that interview, see the vision for yourself? You decide if 12-14 hour days are your style, losing contact with all those friends you use to have before your life was consumed by petty work. You decide if integrity is on your list of important qualities a company should have. Most of all? Be prepared. Ask the right questions, get all the answers and don't settle for less? You owe it to yourself to find the truth.
