I received a phone call from a man claiming to be from the US Govt Grant Dept telling me that I would receive a $3,500 grant and that it will be in my account the following day. This was a grant that would never have to be repaid. Next thing I know he is telling me all my information from my home address to my account number.
I was told that I would be charges a $29.95 wiring fee but that it would not be charged until 3 days after the grant was deposited into my account. Two days later the $29.95 was debited from my account. I called my bank and got their customer service number which is 1-866-407-1029 and they told me that they will not give me my money back and that I would have to wait for some welcome package to come before I can cancel the membership that I have no clue about. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that there were none available.
So far I have made three phone calls trying to cancel a membership that I know nothing about and nobody seems to be able or willing to help me. Please don't let this continue happening!
