I started cleaning Kim's house in Aug. 2005 for $40.00. It was a small house and only she and her teenage daughter lived there. At least that is what I was told before I went to clean. Once I arrived I discovered that there was also a cat and 2 dogs one being a puppy not house trained and a large cocktail bird that they let out all over the house. (so poop being everywhere)
I would go and clean once every week or every other week. I did this because I needed the money because I am not working in order to care for my son who has CF. So I would do small side jobs for some extra money. She knew this all along.
She would write me a check and up until Sep. 16 they had been good. I took that check and deposited it into my account. Thinking the whole time that I had $40.00 more dollars in my account than I did I was using my debt card. Then only Sep. 21 my statement came and it and my check book balance fine. When I got on the computer that afternoon to see what else had clearded the bank I was overdrawn. The check she had wrote was returned from her bank because of NSF. My bank charged me the the $40.00 and $6.00 for a fee.
I called her several times and when she did answer her phone and when she noticed who it was we were disconnected. I went to her house and she gave me the $46.00. Because I thought that the $40.00 was there and I had been using my debt card, and it was making my account become even more overdrawn and Nsf charge to be created on my account. I have all my paper work from the bank stating this, there was a total of $108.00 of charge onto my account.
I tried called her the next day and she will not answer. So that morning I went to her house once again. I tried to talk to her about this, and she is saying that it is not her problem. I told her and showed her the paper work, then she states that she is going to go and talk to my bank and call me that afternnon and that was on Sep. 22 and I have yet to hear from her, and she is not answering my calls. My sons birthday was Sep. 24 and that money was for his birthday so there for my son didn't have the birthday that he should have had.
I am still trying to get my money out of this girl, but I don't have the money to hire a lawyer. So I'm not sure what to do. But I want everyone to know that is girl is opening up a fingernail shop in downtown Tuscaloosa area. I understand now why she has not been able to keep a housekeeper, if this is how she does them. And if this is how she does business then I hate to she how she will run her shop.
