I bought a 2002 Ford Focus from these people and I have been hassled from the start. I was told my payments were to be made on Thursdays, my pay day, which it even said on my payment coupons.
I was called on Thursday by one of their rude collections people saying I was two days late. I told her she was wrong and that I would be in to make the payment after work. She called me back at 5 pm right as I am clocking out to go there and said she did not trust me and she wanted to check to see if I was coming. That pissed me off I went and made the payment (which was my first one).
While I was there I brought some of the Mechanical issues I was having up to the manager; he said fine we will have someone take a look at it. The car is a Focus mind you and I was getting only 15 miles to the gallon. The transmission also shifted constantly. I brought both issues up because there is a 90 day warranty. I took the car to thier transmission guy and he put a pint of ATF in it, and said there was nothing wrong with the transmission, but he thought there was an emissions problem, thats the reason for the bad mileage. The rear brakes were shot too. I tried to tell their mechanic what he had said and he said he did not believe me. NOW IM REALLY PISSED OFF.
I told them they either fix the car or I dont want it. They said that we can make an appointment to have their mechanic look at it at the drivetime dealership... (at this point ole clem was not impressing me much) I told them I wanted a FORD dealership mechanic to look at it. They said that was impossible and that if I wanted that I would have to pay for it. So needless to say I am now stuck with a 2002 Ford Focus with bad breaks, a transmission and emission problem, that gets 15 miles to the gallon. I am not trying to get out of their 25 percent interest rate, I just want the stuff fixed! I know my credit sucks, but they should be able to act like the bottom feeders they are. Stay as far away as possible from drivetime go to buy here pay here they won't screw you as much
