35 days after I purchased my car the CVT transmission crashed. I took it to a local ford dealership that repaired it (not replaced it but repaired it) and Ford Motors covered the cost under my warranty. Dec the CVT transmission went again. The mechanic that worked on the transmission was no longer at the ford dealership so I took the car to the transmission shop that he now was employed. He was having a difficult time finding parts for it so I agreed for him to put in a rebuilt CVT transmission was found and placed into the vehicle. 2 wks later this transmission died, however, the place it was purchased warranted the part and replaced it with another used transmission. Now my car is sitting 10 hours away from home because the transmission died again when my family and I were on holidays. I took the car into the closes ford dealership to find out that they could not do anything on the car because there is no CVT transmission in Canada or United States for this car. I was told they no longer make them anymore. How can a company sell something that they no longer support? How can they get away with not supporting their own product? The car was discontinued in 2008 & the parts in 2009 but even so they still need to honor the parts for this product. I would like ford to replace my vehicle with a vehicle that they still make parts for. I am not asking for a brand new anything just a vehicle that I can get fixed when it needs to be done. Or for them to cover the cost of the parts and labour to replace this transmission again so I can at least trade it in for something besides a Ford. I have reviewed other complaints with this Freestyle car and the CVT transmission (Car complaints web site). Can anyone help me?
