I received a bill in the mail from 900 Direct on 1/11/05 for $267.30. I had never heard of this company and have never made any 900 calls. The calls itemized were made at a time when nobody was home (we have an alarm and a dog - trust me, nobody broke in and used the phone as was ludicrously suggested by 900 Direct representatives!). Nobody in my house has made any 900 calls from this phone number. I called 900 Direct twice, both times the operators were rude and condescending. Calls to my local and long distance companies found no such record of the calls that 900 Direct claims that I made.
I left two polite messages over the last two days for Carter Ericson (sp?) who has appeared on this board to offer his phone number and assistance (888-889-5884). He never returned my calls.
900 direct must agree to zero the account and close the file. I plan to take legal action within 48 hours if this does not occur, including but not limited to: Filing reports with local police, the FTC, my state's Attorney General, the USPS Insperctor General, etc.
