Kenmore Washer Broke Within Months and Repair Is Weeks Away

I purchased a Kenmore washer in November. It broke Jan 29. I called the 800 number and was told it could be fixed on Feb 27! I called the dealer where I purchased it and was told I could get a new one for a charge of $70! I will get charged to get a replacement for a four month old washer. They suggested I purchase a warranty for 3 years.
