Sears broken washe

I purchased a Kenmore washer in
November. It broke Jan 29. Called 800 number and was told it could be fixed on Feb 27! Called dealer where purchased and told Icould get new one for a charge of $70! I will get charged to get a replacement for a four month old washer. They suggested I purchase a warantee for 3 years.
