After being a customer for over 19 years, I cancelled my American Express Card. I mailed a check on the 14th of the month... They claim not to have received it until the 18th... Payment was due on the 16th... I asked that the late fee be waived... They refused, I paid the balance, and called back to speak to another representative who informed me that I had already spoken to two other representatives and that they would not waive the fee. They were not nice about it to boot... I guess a 19 year customer means nothing to a company like that... I was a company owner and made many concessions to my clients.
