Canadian National Railway Company
Idling engines

The Canadian national railroad has been using the area behind my subdivision as their train yard for the past several years. The constant vibration (which rattles things in my house), the constant release of steam from the air takes & the odor of diesel exhaust has become unbearable! The engines park behind my house on a daily basis, sometimes multiple instances in one day. The engines idle for up to 24 hours at a time. We constantly have interrupted sleep, resulting in sleep deprivation. I recently spoke to Patrick Waldron of the Canadian national railroad, asking if there was anything he could do to help. He said the railroad was operating " within federal regulations" & he would do nothing to help! I have never dealt with a more uncaring person! I told him if he lived in my house, I guarantee the trains would be on a different schedule. He could care less! I feel this poor business operations! The Canadian national railroad needs to have some respect for the private citizens living along their rails!
