I have a very small business. Received a call from OPM (Tel:- 01612127403) to 'renew' my Google Listings contract with them for another year. I had never heard of this company before and have had no dealings with them. Even when I informed her of this she ignored what I said and just continued with her pitch. From the start the sales person, a lady, treated me as a long term customer. She spoke very quickly and glossed over a lot of detail. However I did pick up on a figure of £249 which got the alarm bells ringing. She listed all of my e-mail, address and web details which I did confirm. I realised quickly that this was a hard sales pitch with the aim of hooking me in by referring to the renewal of my contract. I informed her that I would be retiring at the end of the financial year to which she eventually said 'I will mark cancellation on your contract'. I would not be surprised to get an invoice for such cancellation. However I feel I have had a lucky escape and want to warn others. During my time in business I can honestly say that this is the most devious and worst hard sales pitch I have ever encountered.
