I used a pay phone in Wiltondale, Newfoundland because my car had broken down and there was no cell phone service. I used my credit card to pay for 2 calls, both which lasted less than 30s each (they were only to leave voice mails). There was no warning about the ridiculous charge of 12.84C per call that I would be getting on my VISA statement a week later. I never use pay phones, and the one time I did use one for an emergency I get charged over 25 dollars. I'll never use one again.
