Sunpass tolls sometimes do not have a booth person, so the state of florida is blackmailing people to buy the sunpass. If you go through a dollar toll, they charge you 25 dollars in the form of a ticket to pay it. THIS is robbery. I lent someone my car in NOVEMBER, they had the portable sunpass so they took it with them, one of the tolls did not go through, this was a tool for $1.25. I never received a ticket in the mail or anything. All of a sudden, in July I receive a order of suspension in the mail to suspend my drivers license, or pay a ticket for $228.50. So they get over 200 dollars for a $1.25 charge. I would love to fight it, but the courthouse is two hours away, with gas, court fees, and possibility of a fine. It is not worth it to me to take a day off of work to fight this. I am a single mom of two, a teacher in pinellas county (I get paid less now than I did 8 years ago due to higher insurance costs and no raises). I cannot afford this. This is blackmail!!!
