On or about October 24, I inadvertently went thru a Sunpass lane in Orlando. On my return trip, I asked the toll cashier what to do and he advised that they would send me a notice to pay. When I received the notice, I checked their website for a pay station in my area. I paid the toll violation on February 24. No other notices were received after that date.
On May 7 I received a letter from the State of Florida, DMV, that my license was being suspended effective May 23 for "unpaid ticket/summons", unless I pay a $285 fine, $60 re-instatement fee, etc. Since I didn't have any tickets, I contacted the Clerk of Court for the City of Orlando, as stated on the letter, and they advised that it was for non-payment of a sunpass violation. I advised the clerk that I had paid that ticket ($27.25 for a. 75 toll) and she said I needed to straighten it out with Sunpass.
