I was in Geneva airport yesterday. My plane was delayed so I used my credit card to make a quick local call to my family in Geneva using the airport payphone. I spoke for 60 seconds or less. $23.10 were subsequently debited from my Visa card for this 1 minute local call (instead of the much lower advertised rate...). I was directed to this payphone by an employee at the Swissport main information desk. How is it possible that airports around the world support such a scam?
