Got a call from an Officer Oneill claiming that I commited fraud on a pay day loan. This guy found a phone# for my step mother who I have not spoken to since 2000. He called her repeatedly and told her I committed fraud and owe alot of money and if she didn't give him my phone# then she could go to jail. She gave him my daughter's cell# because she didn't know where I lived or my phone#. This guy then proceeds to call my daughter who is 19 years old and told her if she didn't give him my number then she would be arrested. So she gave him my number and then immediately called me screaming and crying. Of course she then assumed I must have robbed a bank or something and that the police are coming to lock me up! This office Oneill called me on 2/14 and left a message on my phone that was recorded on my answering machine which I have saved and still have stating that I committed fraud and if I didn't call him back and give him this case# he left that I would be arrested. It turned out this is a collection agency (888-657-1779) collecting on pay day loans. They bought the debt from a pay day loan company for pennies on the dollar. I have been in the collection field for over 20 years and this is completely illegal. I asked him to send me a debt validation letter and he refused. This is also illegal. He told me I owed Triple Services LLC over $2000. I told him I have paid them over $300 already and stopped paying them because they were hitting my bank account every 3-5 days so I closed the account. Then my bank proceeded to reopen it. Now I have even more money owed. Officer Oneill stated he would accept $400 to consider debt paid in full I told him I want a letter to this effect. I did get a letter from the company stating this. The only reason I paid it was to see who this idiot was and what company he was working for so I can file suit on him. Got another call from this Officer Oneill 1 week ago wanting money again. I am trying to find an attorney to handle this. He is not a police officer first off. And he can't threaten my daughter or stepmother.
