I got a call from PRA saying that I owe for a credit card debt. Said I owed like $3,800 after their charges on $1,100. I don't recall ever having this credit card, so I checked my credit report and their is no sign of this debt. I pulled my reports for the last 6 years and it is not on any of them.
I called and asked them for ALL the information they had on me from this card company. The guy said that he could only give me the card name and the amount I owed and PRA's account number. Now how can a company say I owe a debt when they can't even back it up? I told him that I am now collecting on a debt from him that he owes me for $3,801. He didn't care for that comment!
I am filing this with my states Attorney General and am going to send a letter telling them to NEVER contact me again.
Oh! I forgot when I told him this was not my debt and that I did not owe him or anyone $3,800, he said that he could file this as fraud and have a police officer take my statement! OOOOhhhhhhhhh!
