I received an sms from my cell phone provider that excessive data was used overnight on my phone. Having looked at the application that caused this, 125mb was used by whasapp overnight.interesting as I was sleeping and merely exchanged a few messages before I went to bed! My service provider said that often whatsapp runs automatic updates overnight... Well... This this must 10 yrs worth of updates that were run. This is just about the usage of my ENTIRE months data used up in one night! Besides, I have programmed my phone that automatic uploads can only occur when i am connected to wifi! Try getting hold of these guys... There is NO contact number, just an email address. So I complain via email and all that one gets back is an automated reply, which has NOTHING to do with my query, In a nutshell, one can't get hold of a human being in the company and there is no way of communicating with them for an investigation and a refund! Needless to say, I have since removed the app from my phone! A warning to other users! They not a 'free' service... They rip you off in other ways!
