I%u2019m almost 54 and have been buying 501%u2019s since I was in my early 20%u2019s. Back then the first part of the jean to give out was the knees%u2026now in the last few years it%u2019s the belt loops and crotches that have been giving out way to quickly! In the past seven or so years I%u2019ve had the majority of my 501%u2019s with at least one belt loop giving out in the back within a short amount of time of purchasing them and now more recently the crotches have been giving out. Where are you getting the material that you use to make 501 jeans? I think you need to go back to what you were using just a few years ago! I noticed that with all the 501%u2019s I have in my house I show four different countries as the manufacture. Do they buy their material locally, so the quality would be dependent on the quality of the material they purchase? I purchased two pairs of 501%u2019s on March 9th from the Ventura California JCP, and last night (April 27th) just getting in to our 4Runner the crotch of one of them gave out. I imagine a decision was made a few years ago to go with a lower quality material to increase sales, since you probably weren%u2019t selling as many jeans as you are today, because higher quality meant they lasted longer and fewer were needed. For years I thought you used demographics to send your lower quality products to poorer towns, but that went out the window when I changed where I purchased them, with the same results. On the tag you attach to the back pocket it has %u201CQuality never goes out of style%u201D, until you return to making the quality products you once did, you probably should remove that from the tags!
