Amtrak Nazi Like Abuse Towards Employees - Perhaps some of the reason some of the employees are somewhat nasty at times is because of the way the supervisors and manages treat the employees (Especially 2 minutes right before they are about to go out on a four day trip).instead of motivating them to do a good job and carry that motivated feeling to the trip, they (management) let us know how worthless we are and how we can be fired and threatened in front of out other coworkers. On any given day, in the beginning of a trip of even in the middle of the trip. We will get a call (in the middle of serving 300 passengers) by a boss/supervisor that decides he wants to let us know he is in charge from 1150 miles away just to be stupid. Thus leaving us with this horrible feeling inside when we are serving hundreds of passengers.
Sadly I/we work for a company that believes that if they threaten the employee in the middle of a trip it will somehow make us do our job better. Congress or somebody should really investigate how management treats its employees. If they tried motivating their employees instead of threatening them just as your going out on a 4,5, 7 day trip. Think how that would change things with our relationship with the passengers.
Boardman should eliminate or review some of the managers/supervisors he has working in the lower ranks and ask himself should they be threatening employees rich when they are dealing with hundreds of passengers/
Somehow I pray Boardman see's this.
It would be a different Amtrak.
