Complaint / Review
Vivint
Their email is not valid

I called on 08 Apr to cancel their service. I was told I needed to send them written notice with my signature. At first I was going to mail it; however, decided to I called them again, about 20 minutes later, to ask if it was acceptable to submit the written notice as an attachment to an email. The second rep I spoke with, and didn't get her name, told me to use the "[email protected]" email. Well, I've sent the email with the "notice of cancellation" attachment twice and both times, I received the email error message with "invalid address".
So, now I'm heading to the P.O. And sending a registered, return receipt notice. Good old snail mail. But, it works! And, it's written documentation.

For all those having problems cancelling Vivint and their auto debit, do NOT deal with their customer reps anymore after your initial call. Notify your financial institution where the auto debit is withdrawn immediately or within three (3) days of the payment's withdrawal date, and stop payment. Your bank or credit union may need a written follow-up to the verbal notification within 14 days, but it will save you hours of aggravation if Vivint, or any company for that matter, gives you the run around.

The procedures are outlined in FR Reg E, section 205.10 (c) (1) titled: "Consumer's Rights to Stop Payment". Or, goggle it. Hope this helps.

Hope this helps.
