I had a contract to move furniture and boxes long distance on saturday or sunday and for a listed amount. I received calls a week before to see if they could come on monday because it would be easier for them since they have another pickup in the same vicinity on that day. I said no because I had a flight at 1200 that day to return to my home. On saturday they told me they weren't sure about having a truck available and would call me on Sunday they said the truck broke down and would be there on Monday. On Monday they arrived later than they said and when they arrived said it would cost P0 more because the quote wasn't enough to cover the cost of long distance transport. I said I was not going to pay that and they shut the doors to the truck. Because I had flown to this location to arrange this move I was at their mercy and was able to negotiate an additional charge to transport my items. And I missed my return flight.
