Four years of late fees, payment date not moved

I have been charged late fees on the car for four years. I have called them so many times to get my payments reduced because I lost my job, and I have incurred these charges since I have had this car. They will not change my payment dates to suit my paydays, and all they tell me is that it is a one-time thing. I have had it with them. I have had this car for four years now.
